The Barco PDS-4K is a presentation switcher designed for events requiring 4K image quality, simple operation and perfectly seamless transitions. It is ideally suited to conferences, conventions, annual meetings, seminars, TV studios and corporate events where multiple sources must be displayed and switched without interruption. Its 4K video processing and extremely low latency ensure a professional viewing experience.
Seamless Switching enables instant transitions between video sources without black frames, signal interruptions or resynchronisation delays. Even when input resolutions or frame rates differ, the PDS-4K automatically scales and synchronises each source to deliver perfectly smooth transitions. This technology is particularly valuable during conferences and presentations where uninterrupted visuals are essential.
The PDS-4K supports signals up to UHD 4K at 60 Hz, features six HDMI 2.0 inputs, four HDMI 2.0 outputs, and can drive single-, dual- or quad-screen configurations. It also includes Picture-in-Picture, an Ultra HD Multiviewer, still image memory and Athena™ video processing inherited from Barco's Event Master platform.
The PDS-4K is designed for small to medium-sized productions requiring a reliable, easy-to-configure presentation switcher. The S3-4K, as part of the Event Master family, provides a far more advanced architecture with additional layers, outputs, multi-screen configurations and programming capabilities. The PDS-4K is therefore an excellent choice for conferences and corporate events, while the S3-4K is better suited to complex audiovisual productions.
