Frequently asked questions
The Shure ULXD4Q integrates four independent digital wireless receivers into a single 1U rack chassis, significantly reducing rack space requirements and simplifying cabling. Designed for conferences, congresses, theatres, television productions and corporate events, it provides a reliable, scalable and centrally managed wireless solution for demanding professional applications.
The ULXD4Q streamlines installation by combining four receiver channels, RF Cascade ports, integrated Dante networking, Wireless Workbench® compatibility and an internal power supply within a single chassis. This architecture reduces the amount of equipment required, simplifies RF frequency coordination and accelerates deployment while improving the organisation of professional wireless systems.
The ULX-D platform delivers pristine 24-bit / 48 kHz digital audio, a dynamic range exceeding 120 dB, AES-256 encryption and exceptional RF stability. In Standard Mode, it supports up to 22 simultaneous systems within a single 8 MHz TV channel, while High Density Mode increases capacity to as many as 63 compatible systems in challenging RF environments. These capabilities make it an ideal solution for large-scale professional productions.
The ULXD4Q features a built-in Dante interface capable of transporting all four digital audio channels over a standard Ethernet network. It integrates seamlessly with Dante-enabled digital mixing consoles and audio infrastructures, while remote monitoring and configuration through Shure Wireless Workbench® simplify system management and day-to-day operation of professional wireless installations.
