Frequently asked questions
The Shure ULXD4D combines two independent digital wireless receivers within a single 1U rack chassis, delivering outstanding audio quality, exceptional RF stability and significant rack space savings. Designed for conferences, congresses, theatres, live performances and corporate events, it provides a reliable and efficient solution whenever multiple wireless microphones are required with fast deployment and simplified system management.
The ULXD4D streamlines system integration thanks to its compact 1U design, integrated power supply, two independent balanced XLR outputs, RF Cascade ports and comprehensive network management through Shure Wireless Workbench®. This architecture reduces cabling, simplifies frequency coordination and improves the organisation of professional wireless racks while lowering installation time.
The ULX-D platform delivers pristine 24-bit / 48 kHz digital audio with a dynamic range exceeding 120 dB, ultra-low latency, AES-256 encryption and exceptional RF reliability. In Standard Mode, the receiver supports up to 22 compatible wireless systems within a single 8 MHz TV channel, while High Density Mode allows up to 63 simultaneous systems in RF-intensive environments, making it ideal for large-scale professional productions.
The ULXD4D features two individually configurable balanced XLR analogue outputs, selectable between microphone and line level, allowing direct connection to both analogue and digital mixing consoles. It also includes an AES3 (AES/EBU) digital output for high-quality digital signal transmission. The integrated RF Cascade ports simplify antenna signal distribution between multiple receivers, reducing the need for external RF distribution systems in small and medium-sized wireless installations.
