Frequently asked questions
The Yamaha Rio3224-D2 is a high-performance digital stage box designed for Yamaha CL, QL, DM and RIVAGE PM mixing consoles. It enables microphone preamps to be positioned on stage while transporting up to 32 analog inputs and 16 analog outputs over a single Dante network. Its dual redundant power supplies, redundant networking and exceptional audio quality make it a reference solution for concerts, corporate events, conferences and broadcast productions.
The Rio3224-D2 features 32 analog mic/line inputs, 16 analog outputs and 4 AES/EBU digital outputs, making it suitable for large conferences, orchestras, concerts and productions requiring a high channel count.
The Rio3224-D2 is compatible with Yamaha CL1, CL3, CL5, QL1, QL5, DM series and RIVAGE PM digital mixing systems. Thanks to the Dante protocol, it can also be integrated into larger networked audio infrastructures alongside other Dante-enabled equipment.
A Dante stage box such as the Rio3224-D2 dramatically simplifies cabling by replacing bulky analogue multicore cables with one or two Ethernet cables. It also enables network redundancy, audio distribution to multiple consoles or recording systems, and highly flexible signal routing while allowing full remote control of the microphone preamps directly from the mixing console.
